My views
Oldboy is the best South Korean film I have ever seen and always suggest this Asian  movie to my friends as this  movie can't be missed at all. Oldboy had such an effect on me that words are too little to describe it. At start of film for 5 minutes I wasn't sure what is happening but I am glad I watched it totally. This movie is just one step ahead of Americans. the plot is simply interesting and the film do has an strong violence of graphic nature. My advice to the one's who haven't seen this film is go and watch this movie. This is an definitely must watch movie with world class acting, cinematography, music and the plot. Once you have opened yourself up you will find a whole new world of cinema. Enjoy the show !

This movie I have watched on "World Movies" channel without really knowing what to expect and after the movie ended I downloaded the same and rename the file as "3-iron the best movie ever". This is the most artistic movie I have ever seen. Can't believe that a movie can also be made this way. It movies somewhere in the shadow-land between reality and fantasy. 3-iron is one the movie that has very less plot but beautifully written and which makes one feel good. This is an beautiful art movie both on the surface and beneath it. It is truly an unique movie experience. I highly recommend this movie and this is one of the best movie I have ever seen in my life.

Miracle in Cell No. 7 is an truly heartfelt comedy movie. We see the connection between a mentally ill father and his adorable daughter. Although her father is mentally ill we can still see the  undeniable love between them. Behind that, there is an tragical engaging story of the father accused of murder and rape of a small girl aged almost same as his own daughter. It's fun to watch the prisoners depicting their own unique character. This is definitely one of the best Korean movie out there filled with tears and laughter's. Visually the movie surpasses other several films and this film directly speaks to the soul. This movie sets an example why cinema is called an art. The place located is one location of a cut-breathing beauty. The beauty of the nature is being maximized by the art of the camera. You will see that the music speaks more than the dialogues. This movie will surely delight anyone in its own art. A must watch for all.

Synopsis Secret Sunshine 2007 Korean Movie
A woman moves to the town where her dead husband was born. As she tries to fit in, another tragic event overturns her life.

My views
'The Housemaid' and made me watch this awesome flick. 'Secret Sunshine' is a thoroughly modern film. It serves as an example of what American movies are missing these days. The plot is solid and un-cliched. The movie isn't just about religion it is many things. It deals with several issues of modern life in  2 hours-death, psychology, the role of women, the role of family, money and etc. The movie seems sterile at times but has tight intriguing moments and transformations at times that it feels fresh and is therefore modern.   Best Actress accolade at Cannes in 2007 is well deserved. Her performance as the widow Shin Ae remains an unrelenting enigma. As a character pulled apart by forces beyond her control, the sheer magnificence of this performance is central to the film's turbulent nature.Overall, 'Secret Sunshine' may be a hard film to take, but it shines a light on personal tragedy and a victim's relationship with God.

The characters in the movie will genuinely empathize you. The movie when I watched immediately fascinated me and the interest level for the movie never decreased. The actors are all first class and the directions is difficult to fault. The movie will keep on surprising till the end. The movie is in all great and make sure you get to see this vengeance.

My views
Birdcage Inn is one of the Kim's earlier. where the movie portrays the hard times of a young Korean prostitute and the family that makes money off her. "Birdcage Inn" is probably the tamest of Kim's films until "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring"

The Housemaid

Title: The Housemaid

Director:
Cast: , ,

Synopsis The Housemaid 2010 Korean Movie
A man's affair with his family's housemaid leads to dark consequences.

My views
'The Housemaid' is the remake of the original film by Kim Ki-young, widely considered one of the top Korean films of all time, this updated version by Director is a lot more revealing and explicit in nature for the modern audience probably sensitized to it. Needless to say the movie makes good sense for a commercial release in 2010. The movie depicts the power struggles and the changing of the household dynamics that makes the movie an engaging watch as we witness an internal rot that was waiting to happen. The problem I have with the movie is that there are many lengths. It is all quite slow paced and also very predictable. The movie has some dramatic and melodramatic scenes but it lacks of true suspense. While it may not reach the heights of Kim Ki-young's original, Sang-soo Im's version still keeps things tight and is a wonderful exploration of how perceived threats redefines relationships especially that among those with material benefits.
